My weekend ended on an inspirational note…with a Lululemon community goal sharing meeting. For newer readers, I am an ambassador for the Charlotte store. Tonight we had a gathering of Lululemon employees, ambassadors and community fitness pros to discuss our personal goals as well as our collective community goals.
Lululemon has a huge goal setting focus and I spent the weekend working on my goals. In a nutshell, you identify career, health and personal goals for 10, 5 and 1 year periods. You also write a 10 year vision that describes your life in the present tense 10 years from now.
I admit that it was incredibly tough for me to identify my long-term goals and to write my vision but it feels really nice to have it down on paper. It gives me a sense of direction and a point of reference should I ever get in a “what am I doing with my life” slump. Without going into too much detail, my 10-year vision included children, our “forever home,” travel and career advancements.
10 years from now…what is ONE goal that you would like to achieve in any of the above categories – career, health, personal? (I know, it’s tough. Fast forward to 2021!)
The discussion on our long-term vision for the Charlotte community was amazing. Hearing everyone talk about what we can do to create a healthier and happier Charlotte was so energizing. I feel so lucky to be a part of this group.
The evening ended with a Toms decorating party. Pardon my lack of artistic skill but mine say, “Do It Now…with joy, love and playfulness” on the toe and “Community, Possibility, Connection” on the heel. You better believe I’ll be rocking these around town. 😉
This was a good Sunday. I started my day by teaching the 9:15 hot class at Y2. Afterwards, I came home and took Sullie for an easy three-mile run.
Lunch was a big salad with spinach, strawberries, apples, walnuts, carrots, feta, dried cranberries, avocado and tofu with homemade honey dijon balsamic.
I attended the afternoon hot class at Y2 before coming home to finish up my goals.
I missed a big family dinner tonight but lucky for me, Brandon brought a veggie plate home for me. Collards, peanut brittle sweet potatoes, curried rice and mushrooms and green beans. Yum, yum and yum!
