A Bright Weekend

I haven’t had a weekend like this in a lonnnnggg time…off work at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, dinner out, Saturday yoga and farmers market followed by pool time. So nice!

I went out for wine last night and loved this Slingshot Cab. The wine bar we went to was also a wine shop so we were able to buy a bottle for normal market cost and drink it at out table. Pretty sweet.

I ordered the fig, prosciutto and blue cheese flat bread for dinner and it was ah-mazing. This is one of my most favorite flatbread combos.

After falling asleep on the couch at 10:30 last night declaring that there was NO CHANCE I would be up early on Saturday, I found myself awake and ready to go at 7. I went to a 7:30 a.m. hot flow yoga class and then to Trader Joe’s and the farmers market.

I did a lot of damage at Trader Joe’s and got local beef, chicken and eggs at the farmers market along with some beautiful rainbow chard.

I broke into all my new food purchases to make today’s lunch. I sauteed a sundried tomato and basil chicken sausage with baby portobello mushrooms, chard and tomatoes and then topped it off with fresh chopped basil, some goat gouda, avocado and a perfect egg.

I taught a hot yoga class at Y2 this afternoon and then hit the pool to enjoy our perfect 70 degree/no humidity weather while it lasts. I told my yoga class that I dressed so that they could find me no matter what. Love the brights.

Hope y’all are enjoying the weekend!

Looks like a fabulous weekend indeed! I too hit up the farmers market yesterday, then came home and planted our garden and some blueberry bushes. Today I’m regrouping and getting ready for the work week.

Btw, I also just watched the video you posted on Friday. Great advice and Sully is so sweet. 🙂 thanks for sharing.

I have that same Lulu top and the color is fabulous and looks even better with a tan. 🙂 Love that flatbread combo too, except I like it with goat cheese, but would definitely try it with blue cheese too. Obviously…Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

I love Swiss chard! I grew it in my garden a couple years ago and I’ve been a big fan ever since.

LOVE living here! it’s a great city. dining scene is good but no charleston or asheville but we have everything you could possibly want in a manageable sized, easy to navigate city!
