Good morning. I woke up early to get a few quiet moments in before my day starts. I just had a coconut water green smoothie a lemon chia seed muffin and now I’m drinking a cup of dandelion tea. Overall, I’m feeling good but there is a lot happening right now. The final draft of my book is due next week and I have another big proposal due shortly after that. Metro is rocking after the grand opening of our newest location in South Charlotte so I’m working to provide a lot of marketing and social support around that. And I’m just in a major creativity phase at the moment where I have so many ideas swirling around in my head, specifically around this blog space, writing, yoga and expanding my training options outside of traditional one-on-one client sessions.
One of the things that I enjoy most about the path that I’m on professionally is the availability for continual growth as well as my motivation to keep growing and evolving as I continue to dive deeper into understanding my passions and what exactly I want each day to look like. It’s pretty freaking awesome to be able to craft what each day is going to look like and I’m grateful for it every day that I live it. I can’t explain the feeling of waking up every day and looking forward to the work that lies ahead of you…and it’s even more amazing that the work doesn’t really even feel like work.
I was just talking to my mom about all of this last night, specifically how scary it is to “let go” but how much easier it is to swim with the current instead of against it. I have received countless emails over the years from readers asking about how to make a huge career transition and I think it’s something that I may write a short series of posts on because I’ve learned so much over the last few years (and continue to learn more and more every day…eyes and heart must be open).

Speaking of career growth and development, I highly recommend reading The Crossroads of Should and Must. It’s the best thing I’ve read all week.
