I hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday evening. I am just popping in with some weekend photos to share!
This one got a bath and a little hair cut on Friday. When I picked her up she was so soft, smelling like roses and over the top cute. I swear she knows when she’s extra adorable. Look at that smile!
My Friday night included baking cookies to take to a friend’s house for a baby holding get together. I made “three chip” cookies with chocolate, white and peanut butter chips. I just got a new oven so my three batches of cookies came in three varying degrees of doneness. Something for every preference! 🙂
I was home and watching Scandal in bed by 9:30 p.m.
On Saturday after I taught yoga and did my long run I got all dressed up for a friend’s wedding. I tagged along with my beautiful friend (the two of us and the bride did yoga teacher training together) and her husband. They’re both South American…I think I fit right in minus the fact that I can’t participate in their Spanish banter. 😉 I wore a new dress that I was frantically trying to Hollywood Tape down on my drive downtown. I did NOT leave myself enough time to get ready after my run!
The wedding was at the Charlotte City Club and the views were gorgeous. The City Club is on the thirty-something floor of one of the buildings Uptown.
I made myself a plate of food the minute they opened the stations.
And they had the BEST dessert table. Cupcakes from Polka Dot Bake Shop, Peanut M&Ms and Reese’s Cups.
It was a great afternoon of celebration. I am so grateful for my friends and I absolutely love to see them happy!
The Saturday fun continued when I met my friend Leslie Ann for dinner at Lulu. She was in town doing a BodyCombat training (she’s a Les Mills trainer) and I was SO excited to spend an evening chatting with her. We are definitely kindred spirits. I love our time together. This is a terrible picture of my delicious dinner. It was duck over barley with beets and greens.
My Sunday has been low key and productive. I taught yoga, made a run to Whole Foods, ate a delicious egg sandwich (and I have lost count how many cookies), sat outside and worked on the computer, walked the pup and went to yoga. Perfection.
What’s the best wedding dessert you’ve ever had?
What was the best part of your weekend?
