Hi and HAPPY FRIDAY! Weekends don’t really truly exist for me since I teach on Saturdays and Sundays and always end up doing blog/writing/marketing work too but I do love them because I get to sleep a little later. After five days of getting up at 5 a.m., I welcome the opportunity to sleep until 7 or 8. And weekends just always feel special for whatever reason.

I’m super pumped about this weekend because I’ll be leading a special two-hour master class at Charlotte Yoga with my friend, mentor and fellow teacher Suzanne Bergen.

This class is all about starting Thanksgiving week from a place of gratitude, love and presence while also providing an extra-long, challenging and sweaty flow in preparation for pie. We’ve nicknamed it the “Turkshop” at the studio. I can’t wait! This class is sold out but we’re also planning a workshop for New Year’s so I’ll post details when they’re available for my local readers.

Speaking of yoga, I was totally surprised to have a special visitor stop by the studio on Tuesday with a special peanut butter delivery. (And yes…I look like a hot mess after teaching…)

I have loved the girls from Wild Friends for years. One of their fathers was in Charlotte for business and he dropped by two jars of peanut butter for me. I am OBSESSED with both of these flavors.

I especially love the consistency of the pumpkin spice peanut butter. It’s smooth and a little runny. Sadly, this seasonal flavor is not available online but they have a ton of other flavors of peanut butter, almond butter and sunflower butter so check out their online store. They’re offering 20% off right now with the code HOLIDAY20. Go order some!

I received another delicious delivery this week from Larabar (it’s been a good week over here).

Larabar is focusing on promoting men’s health in November and sent a men’s themed tote with Larabar products, a copy of the book No Meat Athlete, a men’s t-shirt and ear buds. Clearly, I don’t blog specifically about men’s health but I have quite a few male readers and I have received some great feedback from guys who have tried my workouts. So I’m excited to offer a giveaway that appeals to my male and female readers! (Read on for the giveaway details!)

11.21larabars

I have loved the Larabar brand for many, many years. Larabars used to be my go-to snack choice in the afternoons when I worked in advertising and I always kept a stash in my desk.

If you’re not familiar with Larabar, they’re fruit and nut bars made from unsweetened fruits, nuts and spices. None of the bars have more than nine ingredients and many have just three or four. They’re gluten-free, non-GMO and have no added preservatives, flavorings or colors. They also sent a few samples of their new Renola product which is a Larabar “let loose” with a mix of fruit, seeds and nuts. It’s like a cross between granola and trail mix. I’m excited to try it.

If you’d like to win one of these men’s health themed totes for yourself or a special guy in your life, leave a comment telling me what flavor of Larabar is your favorite or you’d most like to try. Check out all the flavors on their website.

Giveaway is open until Sunday at midnight EST. I’ll announce the winner next week (along with the winner of the Erin McDermott Jewelry giveaway…we are woking through a comment numbering issue with the new blog design…I haven’t forgotten about y’all!).

Have a great weekend!

It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost a month since I ran the Every Woman’s Marathon! One of the fun things about this year’s race was getting to visit Scottsdale, Arizona. It was my first time in Arizona and while it was a quick trip, I tried to maximize my time there. Here’s a [...]

Your Last-Minute Gift Guide For Everyone

In keeping with tradition, I’m coming in hot with a last-minute gift guide. As much as I’d like to think that one day I’ll be the kind of person who has their holiday shopping done before Black Friday…it’s just not a likely scenario. And I’m okay with that! I hope this list helps you finish [...]

Every Woman’s Marathon Scottsdale Recap (marathon #4!!!)

Every Woman’s Marathon Scottsdale Recap (marathon #4!!!)

I am on a three-hour flight home from Scottsdale so it seems like the perfect time to relive and recap yesterday’s Every Woman’s Marathon experience. I had a great day and I’m very proud of the race that I ran. It was a practice in “fun running” and that not every race effort has to [...]
