So Christmas is two weeks away and I don’t know about you but I haven’t even started my shopping yet. Help!!! So in light of that I wanted to put together a post with some of my favorite gift ideas to give y’all some inspiration and me a kick to get with it. I’m going to start with kitchen and I’ll post fitness, yoga and lifestyle stuff later this week.
1) TheroWorks Thermapen
I shared it last year, I’ll share it again this year…the ThermoWorks Thermapen is PRICELESS in the kitchen. I use mine almost every time I cook…especially with steaks, chicken, pork and fish. I cannot recommend an instant read thermometer enough! They are an invaluable tool for home cooks.
2) Propresser Garlic Press
My dad told me about the Propresser Garlic Press and after using it at my parent’s house, I immediately ordered one for myself. I love cooking with garlic but I hate when my fingers smell like garlic. Given that I’m hot, sweaty and touching people when I teach yoga, it’s not the most pleasant thing to be radiating the smell of garlic. This garlic press is great because you can pop the whole clove in unpeeled and it spits out perfectly pressed garlic leaving the peel behind.
3) 25-Year Aged Balsamic Vinegar
I use my 25 year aged balsamic vinegar all the time for everything from dressing salads to finishing meats to drizzling on fresh fruit. If you’re here in Charlotte, visit New World Olive Oil to stock up. Otherwise, check out this very highly rated vinegar from Williams-Sonoma.
4) Nespresso
My Nespresso machine is my lifeblood at 5 a.m. Black coffee will always be my go to but I love how quick and easy it is to prepare a shot of Nespresso while I’m getting ready in the mornings. I gave my dad one last Christmas and he loves his machine too. Random side note…I love that the pods are not plastic. Something about plastic and boiling hot water freaks me out a bit.
5) Vitamix
I received my Vitamix Professional Blender last year for Christmas and I use it almost every single day for everything from smoothies (duh) to soups to food processing.
I know that the price tag can be a little intimidating but I seriously use mine so much that it’s totally worth it. Also, my Vitamix is certified reconditioned so there was a bit of a price break. It still came with a five year warranty!
Do you have any suggestions for kitchen gifts? (I’m always looking for inspiration for new gifts!)
