A quick post tonight to say hi. And I’m tired!
I have taught five hot yoga classes in the last two days. Three on Wednesday and two on Thursday. Let me state for the record that I am not complaining. I absolutely love each and every class that I have the honor to teach for so many different reasons…but that much “give” wears a girl out.
This is hard to explain but the difference between leading a yoga class and one-on-one personal training is night and day. I can do 3-4 PT clients in a row or 4-5 daily, no problem (although I do max out at a certain number per day and can’t be “on” anymore).
But when I teach, it’s different. Even thought I don’t practice with them (I walk around talking and assisting), it’s 60 (or 75 or 90) minutes straight of talking, hands-on adjustments, messaging, observing, coaching, encouraging, etc. I give them everything I have and it’s exhausting in an amazing way. It’s complete, 100% job satisfaction.
After teaching three classes and 87 yogis on Wednesday at Charlotte Yoga, I walked out of class to find that the studio owner had left me two chocolate chip cookies and a kombucha. Made me smile!
On Wednesday I also had an awesome opportunity to be a guest on Charlotte Today for a segment on yoga and stress relief.
It was about six minutes long and we talked about how yoga can help alleviate stress and I walked them through three poses that anyone can do to feel better!
Let’s take a quick moment to talk about this…
I picked Sullie up from her dad today and she and Zoey have been completely inseparable ever since. These two are obsessed with each other and it makes me so happy. I am going to write a blog post soon about adding a second dog and how it’s benefited all of us.
And…ummm…I am not raising a spoiled puppy at all! 🙂
So about that upcoming vacation in the title of the post.
This time next week I will be here! Last fall I planned a four night winter getaway with two of my best girlfriends. We used Cheap Caribbean and got an amazing deal on an all-inclusive resort + flight to the DR. I require an at least once yearly Caribbean trip. I can’t wait!
What’s something you are looking forward to?
