Hi everyone! Happiest of Wednesdays. My day started with a 5:30 a.m. wake up call to teach my 6 a.m. hot vinyasa class at Charlotte Yoga. It was a SERIOUS struggle to get out of bed this morning (the time change is kicking my butt in the mornings) but the second I started class I felt so happy to be in the room teaching. It is the very best way to wake up. It is so energizing to see a roomful of yogis who also got up early and chose to start their days on their mats.
Guess what I finally did?
After probably a solid year of promising a post on how I make my homemade pressed wraps, I actually put together a tutorial! I’ve got step-by-step photos and instructions for you along with a Pin-able graphic.
Step One: Place your wrap flat on a cutting board, horizontal orientation. I prefer ALDI wraps or FlatOut brand.
Step Two: Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on the wrap from edge to edge. I also drizzle a little bit of honey and swirl it in. This could also be mayo, hummus or the spread of your choice.
Step Three: Place halved avocado slices across the center of the wrap.
Step Four: Layer protein and cheese of choice over the avocado. This is roasted chicken and smoked gouda.
Step Five: Roll the wrap horizontally. As you roll the wrap away from you, kind of pull the toppings in towards you to get a tighter wrap. The spread will help it stick together.
Step Six: Place the wrap seam side down in a preheated skillet over medium heat. Seam side down first is important because it will help the wrap stay together when you flip it over.
Step Seven: Place something heavy on top of the wrap. I use a grill press but if you don’t have one just use a heavy pot. Cook the wrap 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cheese is melted. This is where medium heat is important. You want the wrap to warm all the way through and the cheese to melt before the outside gets overly browned or too crunchy.
Step Eight: Place the wrap on a cutting board and cut in half.
Step Nine: Eat it!
Tip: I like to serve these wraps with my homemade Greek Yogurt Honey Mustard. It’s very tasty for dipping!

What is your favorite wrap combo? My go to is honey mustard, avocado, turkey or chicken and cheese. Simple and so good!
