Yesterday I shared the the 10 most popular posts of 2015 that were actually written in 2015. Today I’m sharing the top 10 posts of 2015 for all-time. These 10 posts got the more views than any other posts on Peanut Butter Runner and 9 of the 10 were not even written this year!
For my fellow bloggers, this is a great case for creating quality content that can stay relevant for longer than the day someone reads it. Think things like recipes, tutorials, workouts, product reviews, travel/destination posts, etc.
Let’s get started!
Top 10 Popular Posts of 2015 (All-Time)
1) The Best Homemade Chicken Enchiladas (2014)
First things first, these enchiladas are INCREDIBLE and if you haven’t tried them…add them to your menu ASAP! Second, this is the most popular post on PBR by a landslide! It has almost twice as many page views as the #2 post. I can mostly thank Pinterest for the traffic!
2) 3 Yoga Poses for Tight, Rounded Shoulders (2014)
I have been surprised and happy by how well this post has performed. Rounded, tight shoulders are so prevalent thanks to the way we live in today’s society…hunched over steering wheels, computers and phones. In this post I discuss the importance of finding a balance between stretching the tight, overdeveloped muscles of the chest and shoulders while also strengthening the underdeveloped upper back muscles.
3) Perfect Paleo Banana Bread (2013)
I created this recipe back in the days of managing a CrossFit gym and experimenting with gluten-free baking. I didn’t end up doing a lot of it but this recipe sure was a winner. I have had hundreds of people tell me it’s their go-to for GF banana bread. Yay!
4) The Best Easy Homemade Pad Thai (2015)
We talked about this one yesterday…so good. Try it!
5) Easy & Healthy Homemade Granola Bars (2013)
These granola bars are full of good stuff like oats, almonds, pumpkin seeds, cinnamon, dried fruit and more. Make a big batch, slice and store in the fridge or freezer for an on the go snack!
6) 7 Day Green Smoothie Challenge (2012)
Oh man, this was just the beginning of my green smoothie obsession. I later went on to host a 30-day Instagram green smoothie challenge, make green smoothies for 50 young gymnasts, demo green smoothies on a local TV morning show and then develop a whole page on my blog devoted to green smoothies.
7) Packing More Protein Into Breakfast with AllWhites Egg Whites (2014)
This post was the advent of me blogging about egg white oatmeal frequently and also featured a recipe for Spinach, Roasted Red Pepper, Artichoke and Feta Egg White Cups.
8) Tips for Getting Into Crow Pose (Bakasana) and Advanced Variations (2013)
Remember when I used to regularly (well, semi-regularly) post yoga tutorials and themed posts? Yeah, we’re going to get back to that in 2016…PROMISE! I posted this video tutorial on YouTube about getting into crow pose back in 2013 and it’s received over 20,000 views. I need to redo the video though because it’s blurry for some reason. It wasn’t when I originally posted it. Not sure what happened with YouTube video formatting. Anyway, it’s a good post if you’re trying to master crow. And remember…I wrote a whole book about arm balances, inversions and advanced variations of postures. It was release this fall!
9) Total Body Dumbbell Circuit Workout (2014)
This is one of the most popular workouts I have ever posted on my site…and for good reason! It’s a great total body workout that can be done with just a set of dumbbells. The original post includes photo demonstrations of all exercises as well as information about supersets.
10) Learning the ALDI Secrets (2014)
Back in 2014 I had the opportunity to visit ALDI headquarters outside of Chicago. It was a fun and informative trip and I’ve been a fan of ALDI ever since. This post stays popular through search because I think a lot of people are curious about ALDI!
So that wraps up the most popular posts of 2015! I am so looking forward to a whole new year of blogging and making this site even better than ever!
Again, I’ll be surveying you guys in January but please feel free to leave feedback in the comments with ideas for things you’d like to see in 2016.
