Good morning. I hope your Tuesday is off to a great start.
Last week was a little nuts. I taught 13 classes (11 yoga and 2 at the Y), ran the half marathon and had a party on Saturday night. Honestly, I think it was too much. I kind of hit the wall on Monday afternoon (I wasn’t really tired, just blah) and got a last-minute sub for my Monday evening class and my Tuesday 6 a.m. Instead of teaching my late class, I came home and knocked out some work that had been looming over me. When Tanner got home we went out for a short but nice evening run and then cooked dinner together and watched Parenthood. I woke up at 7:15 this morning ready for the day after my mini-reset.
Here are some late weekend scenes and then I’m off to teach at 9:30 and then get my own practice in.
Dr. Bradberry’s office just happens to be right by Polka Dot Bake Shop so of course I had to “carb load” on Friday afternoon before my race. KT taping and cupcakes…all the most important race prep, right?
I ran over to Dick’s Sporting Goods on Friday evening to pick up a new pair of compression socks. I had to laugh at the giant wall of Nike Tempo Shorts. I think I’ve phased most of them out of my running wardrobe but they used to be all the rage. I had so many colors!
Pre-race turkey burger dinner.
Post-race and post-teaching hot yoga mimosa on Saturday afternoon. I thought it was well-earned.
We laughed so hard at lunch when one of our students came out of the locker room wearing this tank top. The best part about it? He’s a police officer and I had just seen him working the race course earlier that day. He came to the studio after the race for class and then rocked this awesome tank after. Fun fact…we have a lot of CMPD employees that practice with us after we did a “yoga and workplace stress” study with them last year. (It went really well and had amazing results!)
Saturday afternoon at the park.
A girl and her ball.
BFF Dorie’s birthday party on Saturday night.
I ate three mini cupcakes, bacon wrapped scallops, a ton of Dorie’s famous artichoke dip and some sushi rolls and then we rolled out of the party at 10 p.m. and headed home and straight to bed. LONG DAY!
Sunday morning cuddles.
Sunday afternoon HIIT class at the Y. 1 minute at each of these stations, 3 times through with about 90 seconds rest between each round. It was a sweaty, fun time!
Have a good day guys!
