Hey there. I have so enjoyed reading all of your responses on yesterday’s post with your tips and tricks for fitting workouts when life is busy, busy. Definitely give that post a read if you missed it!

On the topic of fitting in workouts…

I taught two yoga classes this morning…6 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. I stayed at the studio after I taught to work with our new marketing coordinator. She started yesterday and I can’t even tell you a) how amazing she is and b) how grateful I am for the help. I could cry. There’s always a time investment that comes with onboarding new hires and getting them trained but it’s totally worth for the payoff it’s going to provide. I’m only part-time in my role as marketing director at Y2 and I was drowning in the amount of marketing support that was needed now that we not only have a yoga studio to run (with over 100 classes every week!) but a spa and a restaurant as well.

The position definitely needs someone full-time but I can’t dedicate full-time hours to it because I teach 10 classes a week and have my online/blog work. I’ll now be able to get out of the nitty gritty day-to-day execution stuff for our business and focus on strategy and bigger impact initiatives instead.

Okay, I was tying this into finding time to workout.

I showered and dressed at the studio after my 8:15 a.m. class. I packed my running clothes (shoes and all) to wear to set the intention that I was going to make a run happen today. I may have looked silly wearing my running gear and working in the yoga studio but I am this committed to making the run happen. I’m heading out as soon as I hit publish on this post!

Dorie and I are going to a special media preview of the Charlotte Ballet’s “The Nutcracker” tonight so I need to fit in my workout a little earlier than normal. I figure since my day started at 6 a.m. teaching, I can cut out at 4:15 for a run. 😉

Topic change.

Erin McDermott Jewelry

Erin invited me to stop by the showroom before Thanksgiving to catch up and pick up a few new pieces. Speaking of a busy woman who can just “figure it out,” Erin is an incredible example of it. She’s a mom of two girls, Coco and Bennet (who is just shy of 5 months old!) as well as her bulldog Sukie. She runs a successful business and hand makes all of her own jewelry using a mix of semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls, sterling silver, 14K-gold, 14-K gold filled, sea glass and any other materials that inspire her. She’s also a marathoner (I think a two-time marathoner if I’m not mistaken.)

Erin guided me to a few pieces that will be great additions to my winter wardrobe. I especially love these two pairs of earrings. They are made from hammered silver and have a gold wrap. They are so versatile and I’ve worn them with jeans and heels and also athleisure. Here’s the link to the bar earrings and here’s the link to the hoops.

I feel like I’ve collected a lot of gold jewelry over the last few years so I wanted a silver piece for winter. I love this combo of the light stone with the silver wrapping.

But of course I also had to get a black and gold one. I feel like I will wear this Black Wrapped Onyx Necklace a ton this season.

And I couldn’t resist snapping a picture of some of her “tiny” necklaces. I wear my buddha all the time on the same chain as my hammered disc necklace that Erin made for me when we first met back in 2012.

If you need to do some holiday shopping or need something to compliment your holiday wardrobe, head on over to Erin’s site. She’s offered a 20% discount to all of my readers with the code PBR.

I’ll leave you with this photo of how I found the pug when I got home from the studio today. That tongue!

Off to run!
