Lots to catch you up on but I’ll start with a quick look at Friday. I forced myself to get out of bed for 6:30 a.m. yoga class. I had meetings all morning and a haircut scheduled for later in the afternoon so I knew that early was my only chance to get it in. Yes, I will plan workouts around haircuts!

I made a smoothie when I got to the gym with spinach, banana, dates, almond butter, mango, strawberry, almond milk and some ice. It was bright green!

Lunch was a salad with mixed greens, arugula, beets, pecans, tomatoes, dried cranberries and goat cheese with a cup of chicken tortilla soup on the side.

Fridays call for lunch dessert so I also had a peanut butter cookie.

The highlight of my day was a hair appointment for a cut and color. It had been FIVE months since I had seen my stylist so the visit was long overdue. I took a before and after to show the difference. I don’t think my hair has been so straight in months. I mentioned this last week but over the course of the summer I kind of gave up on doing anything with my hair and let it air dry and be naturally wavy . I also realized when I took these pictures that I never put on makeup yesterday. It’s definitely been a more relaxed summer for me and it feels good.
I don’t wear a lot of makeup during the week and at work but under eye concealer, blush and mascara are staples. If I do go with a no makeup look I try to at least curl my eyelashes and put on a little blush. Speaking of makeup v. no makeup…check out this blog post that shows before and after transformations by Russian makeup artist Vadim Andreev .
Do you wear makeup every day? Do you feel comfortable wearing no makeup?
LOVE your hair and I am now craving a smoothie after reading this!
Your hair natural looks so pretty! I love not worrying about straightening my hair in the summer and just letting it be. And I usually don’t like wearing make-up. But If I do I’ll just brush my face with some powder and use some eyeliner and blush.
I’m the exact same when it comes to my makeup staples! I always wear under eye concealer since I have reasonably dark circles no matter how long I sleep. It makes a huge difference!
I like the wavy look! I wear blush and mascara almost every day but as a teacher and avid exerciser, I’m constantly moving around and I think it all sweats off by the end of the day.
I just got my hair done on Friday after about 6 months since my last cut/color! It was MUCH needed and I’m really happy with how it turned out! Love how wavy your hair is and your new cut looks great on you!
I’m the same about makeup… maybe some mascara and concealer, but unless I’m specifically going out for an occasion, I keep it simple!
No make-up for me.
I agree with Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine. Your hair natural is beautiful!
I love your natural wavy hair. But you look beautiful no matter how you style it.
I don’t ever wear a lot of makeup but most days I’m like you…under eye concealer, and mascara (because I have the world’s smallest eyelashes), and blush when I remember.
I love no makeup days, but I also love wearing makeup on the weekends, when I get to dress up and go out. I typically always put mascara on though during the week and that’s about it. Hard to wear makeup when you are training and teaching clients. I am a being MAC fan.
Ouh the make-up site is creepy, ouch.
