Creating a Healthy & Relaxing Evening Routine: vitafusion Review & Giveaway

Before I started my full-time fitness, yoga and writing career, I spent six years working a traditional 9-5 in marketing and advertising. When I had a desk job, my routine was pretty set Monday-Friday. Get up, workout, work, lunch break, work, evening activities, dinner, relax, repeat. These days the word “routine” is just a little more foreign to me. There are literally not two days of my week that look alike. While I do have set classes that I teach, everything else is a toss up. I train when my clients want to train, I still do marketing and social media for the gym, I am always working on some type of deadline for writing projects, and I work on my blog whenever I can. It’s a constant juggle to find the right balance, but one thing that has really, really helped me is having a consistent evening routine.

I try not to take any clients/classes any later than 7:30 p.m. After I’m done for the day I come home, play with/walk Sullie, shower, do my evening skincare routine, cook dinner (most relaxing part of my evening), eat and decompress on the couch. When I’m ready to turn in for the night I make a big glass of water (I have to have water on the nightstand for some reason!), take my supplements and head to bed. I keep all of my supplements in the kitchen so that I remember to take them after making my water.

    I have similar issues. My nails and hair are pretty sad. The could definitely use a boost! I would also love to find a multivitamin that helps with my fatigue.

    For me, remembering my vitamins is all about keeping it at the same point in my morning routine. I usually take them right after breakfast, when I’m mostly done getting ready for the day and just about to brush my teeth.

    I would LOVE to try these vitamins! My thyroid is currently functioning less than normal and therefore am in need of some extra support not only for my hormones but my hair and nails!! And I stink at swallowing pills (I guess my parents never made me practice with M&M’s!?) so the gummies would be a great option for me if they taste as good as you say!

    Can you explain how folic acid and iron work together? I am anemic and even when I take iron supplements by body has trouble absorbing the iron.

    I remember because I leave a small glass jar, like a shot glass, on the counter. Each morning when I get my coffee supplies, I take my vitamins from the pack I have prepped for the week in the same cabinet. Then I just take them at some point after I eat a meal. When the glass is empty, I know that I have taken them that day. Thanks 🙂

    I’ve divided my supplements into two groups: one group I take during the day (usually with breakfast in the morning, but it’s ok if they’re spaced throughout the day), and the other group I take at night. They’re divided based on their effect/when they will be best absorbed – ie: B vitamins during the day since they promote energy. I drink coffee randomly throughout the day, so calcium and magnesium go in the night group since coffee tannins impair the absorption of calcium. It’s a whole system, haha 🙂

    At school I always had them next to my bed and took them right before I went to bed since I kept a water bottle next to me. Now that I’m home I’m sort of lacking on taking them because I end up leaving my water bottle with my work stuff! I think I’ll start taking them in the morning

    I try to remember to take vitamins but I’m only successful about 50% of the time. Usually I remember on the days where I eat breakfast at home, but on the go days are when I forget!

    I remember to take my vitamins every evening becaus I have a little one growing inside to remind me! 🙂 I didn know they made prenatals. I already purchase the adult ones for my husband. He hates to swqllo pills, but give him a chewy vitamin and he has no problem! Such a child….. Ha.

    Consistency has been key for me! I take mine right after breakfast and keep the bottle right beside the sink so that it provides a visual cue. It’s such a natural part of my routine now that it feels like I’m on autopilot. When I go on trips, I make sure to get a small ziploc bags and take the number of vitamins with me for the days I’m traveling.

    Always fun trying new vitamins! Glad you found some good ones that taste good and provide the health benefits 🙂

    I take Align right before bed – it’s helped a lot over the last 6 months! I keep Biotin and MVIs in my car and office – yet somehow I STILL don’t take them regularly 🙂 need to work on that! Delish gummie MVIs may do the trick!

    Too funny, as I’m reading this I am eating dinner and will be taking my prenatal vitamin afterwards. I’m not trying or am preggers, but the lady who does my nails recommended taking them and it’s made a huge difference. I remember by keeping them everywhere….purse, office and at home so between the three spots I will remember. 🙂

    I try to remember them by keeping them on my vanity. I have the same problem with becoming nauseous but even taking them at night does not help. I have to take multivitamins without iron as that seems to cause the sick feeling. A gummy would really help me remember but I have no idea where to start my search for a new one and this looks great!

    I started taking fish oil and my Vitamin D supplement at bedtime, just before I start getting ready for bed. It took me a few weeks to actually do it daily, but I just put them right at the entrance to my kitchen, which I have to walk past to fill up my water glass for my bedside table, and then I see them and am reminded to take them. When I’m out of this routine for travel I forget more often than not, so I set an alarm on my phone.

    I too have battled with anemia problems! I have to take iron supplements 3 times a day. Because of the frequency, I have to set alarms on my phone as a reminder!

    I used to take a multi-vitamin every day (I used the generic brand of gummies from Target–non-gummy vitamins always make me sick to my stomach even when I take them with food), but when we moved going on a year ago and my routine got all out of whack, I never got back in the habit of taking my daily vitamin (!). It’s also sporadic with my kids, so I definitely need to do better with this!

    I always take my supplements with breakfast and in the afternoon with a snack. If I take a one-a-day multi vitamin it makes me feel nauseous so I have to take a multi vitamin that requires two per day.

    I have fantastic nails but have been struggling with growing my hair long as well. Same issue: I can’t get it to go past a certain length! I usually take my vitamins with my morning breakfast (because they make me very nauseated) but lately have had to rush out the door without my breakfast. I was unsure about taking them before bed because of the nausea, but maybe I’ll give that a try.

    i actually put all of my vitamins in my bathroom drawer with my toothpaste, contact supplies, etc. Works like a charm!

    I go through phases where I’m really good about taking them each morning with my breakfast, and then there are long stretches where I totally forget and can’t be bothered. These look like candy so maybe that’s the trick!!

    The trick I found is by leaving the vitamins on the counter or on the table so that when I’m eating (at breakfast and dinner time) I see them and take it. Since I had my son my hair hasn’t been the prettiest more like a wasp nest now . So this would be perfect to make my hair healthy again. I’ve tried many oils and shampoos nothing helps I hope this would.

    The trick I found was leaving them either on my table or counter top that way when I eat I see them and take them. These would be perfect for my hair, ever since I had my son my hair has lost all strength and volume. Now it represents a wasp nest. This would be perfect I’ve tried everything including oils and shampoos and nothing helps .I hope these would be what I need.
