Zoey Update + Yoga Retreat Update

Short post tonight because it is late and I teach early on Tuesday!

First, biggest thanks to you guys for your concern over sweet Zoey. Happy to report she’s made a good recovery and seems to be doing much better.

8.31zoey

(Can you believe how big she is!?)

I will spare you the graphic details but I sure wish dogs could talk. It’s so hard to know whether to take that emergency vet plunge or give it time to pass. I’m usually in the camp of holycrapemergencyvetSTAT but I’m glad in this case I took a deep breath and monitored her. I’ll leave it at puppies get into everything! Saturday morning Zoey tracked down a turtle in the yard and had it in her mouth (I saved the turtle, thank god). I’m pretty sure she got some sort of bacteria from it that was no bueno for her tummy. Crazy puppy.

Second, I wanted to remind you about the retreat I’m leading September 25-27 at Wild Dunes Resort on Isle of Palms, SC. Early bird is ending September 1 and we have a few spots we are looking to fill.

Grand-Pavilion-Pool-2
Imagine oceanfront yoga practices with this scenery, paddleboard yoga, Desire Map work, beautiful accommodations and historic Charleston just 30 minutes away. I would LOVE to meet you guys! Please email me (peanutbutterrunner@gmail.com) if you have any questions and here is the weekend info.

Have a great Tuesday!

xoxo,
Jen

Glad Zoey is doing better. Rhett had “issues” this weekend too and it was NOT pretty.
Wish I could come to the yoga retreat. I have a date conflict… but otherwise I would!

Glad to hear that about Zoey! If I wasn’t so freshly postpartum end of Sept I’d definitely join the retreat. I need a vacation!

So glad your furball is feeling better! We have TONS of frogs in our yard in the summertime, and I always worry that our dogs will try to catch them. We don’t need salmonella going around the household!

What a great place to have your retreat. I got married there and absolutely loved the place. We stayed in one of the beach homes on the board walk. It was perfect.

So glad Zoey is doing better! It’s probably super creepy that I remember this, but when Emily at Daily Garnish lived in NC, her dogs got crazy sick from the turtles in her yard – http://www.dailygarnish.com/2009/09/double-dog-drama.html

You’re not alone in your turtle-induced puppy drama 🙂

That is not super creepy at all. I love Emily! And gah, it totally had to be that turtle that she got a funk from.
