Sunday Perfection

It’s been a perfect Sunday. All play, no work.

Pink (no green added) smoothie for breakfast before teaching yoga (that does not count as work…it’s play!). Strawberries, banana, pineapple, mango, coconut almond milk and banana protein powder.

Brunch at Original Pancake House after teaching. Started out by hydrating – freshly squeezed OJ, coffee and water.

Protein – two eggs over medium and turkey sausage.

Carbs – blueberry buttermilk pancakes.

Three mile run followed by two hours of pool time. It was the most beautiful day in Charlotte. I skipped practicing yoga in favor of spending time outdoors.

Post-pool frozen yogurt stop.

Evening movie – The Five Year Engagement? The verdict? I love Jason Segel and the movie was entertaining and easy to watch but a little long, coming in at just over 2 hours. It dragged at points.

Herb roasted wild Scottish salmon for dinner along with a big pan of roasted veggies – zucchini, rutabaga, parsnips and baby portobellos.

What was the best part of your Sunday? Have a great week!

Oh that pool looks heavenly. Best part of my Sunday was finishing my fourth marathon in 3:49:51, a PR! I could have used a swim afterward. 🙂

Sounds like a perfect day to me! The best part of my Sunday was seeing my entire family for lunch 🙂

Your day sounds fabulous and Sullie is so cute, she’s out of control. I had frozen yogurt Friday, but you’re making me want some again. We have a small, family-owned shop here that makes handcrafted froyo from locally made kefir. They have not one, but two local kombucha companies on tap and even do froyo floats (check out Vanilla Jill’s on facebook – in case you ever come to Eugene!) :))

Highlight of the day was homemade egg pasta with shrimp and arugula

Best part? Relaxing walk w/ my dog and a casual bike ride w/ a gentle Iowa breeze 🙂

Glad you got some sun! I did too! Maybe a little too much because my whole back is sunburnt! That should make yoga interesting this week… 🙂

My Sunday was also perfect; a long run followed by the day at the beach!

I want to see that movie so bad! Jason Segel is hilarious. Sounds like an awesome Sunday! Yum, those pancakes look great. My Sunday was pretty relaxing, just spent the day with my sister.

  • Kristy May 21, 2012, 12:07 pm

Perfect is right! Sullie appears to be smiling in that pic!

I got back from vacay on Sunday (I can’t complain) so Sunday was catch-up day for me!

I am dying to see The Five Year Engagement – are all the funny parts in the previews? That is my biggest pet peeves about romantic comedies…

blueberry pancakes would be my choice of carbs too 😉

That looks like the most perfect Sunday ever!!! My favorite part of my Sunday was a BBQ with a bunch of good friends! 🙂

  • Amanda @flecksofgreen May 21, 2012, 8:06 pm

My whole Sunday was great! The best part had to be steak kabobs grilled out back for a family dinner 🙂
