Pumpkin and Winners

I’ve had single serve Ziploc bags of pumpkin puree in my freezer all summer and have had zero desire to mix it into my oats…until today. My alarm went off at 5:50 a.m. so that I could start my day the right way – with yoga. I went to a slow, gentle, hot class at Charlotte Yoga and got my triangle, half moon and dancer on as the sun rose. A beautiful way to start the day.

It was cool out when I left yoga and I actually got a little chilled. When I came home to shower and make breakfast I felt inspired to add pumpkin to my oats for the first time this Fall.

This oatmeal included: oats, water, almond milk, banana, pumpkin puree, chia seeds, cinnamon, raisins and a pinch of salt. Topped off with almond butter and Crofter’s and dumped in a jar for portability. (I eat when I get to work.)

Speaking of music, we’re heading to the Kings of Leon/Black Keys/Whigs concert tonight and I’m super excited. We’re meeting up with The Yogi Monster Sarah for some pre-show tailgating. Whee!!!
