Happy Mother’s Day!
I am SO missing my mom today. I haven’t seen her since Christmas…way too long! Luckily I have a long visit planned next month. Counting down the days!
I had fun reaching out to all of my mommy friends today and wishing them a happy Mother’s Day…many are celebrating their first Mother’s Day (either expecting or with new babies!).
I asked Sullie and Zoey what they got me for Mother’s Day but so far it looks like only some kisses. 🙂
And now for the weekly workout recap…
Strength + Tabata
10 x 5
Tabata Intervals (20 seconds on, 10 seconds rest…8 rounds alternating exercises each round)
Power Cleans (75#)/Burpees
Push Press (55#)/Sit Ups
Kettlebell Swings (35#)/Kettlebell Goblet Squats
Gliding Disk Mountain Climbers/Jump Lunges (this round nearly killed me)
3 mile run
Hot yoga + CrossFit
This was a great WOD! I used the RX weight for the thrusters so it took me a while to get through those reps. I had to break them into sets. This resulted in a short time to finish the second 21-15-9 and the 20 minute time cap REALLY pushed me. I was sprinting to finish the row and burpees and wrapped it all up in about 19:30!
6 mile hike + 1,000+ stairs + planks on a log
I spent the weekend at Amicolola Falls State Park in Georgia. More on that soon! Our Saturday extravaganza included tackling over 1,000 stairs to view a waterfall, hiking and planking on logs during the hike.
I’m going to go for an evening run shortly. Probably just a quick 3-4 miles.
