Friday Deliciousness

I’m happy that it’s Friday night and we are staying in Charlotte this weekend. The next few weeks are going to be crazy with travel so I’m thankful to have this weekend to hang out and prepare.

I started this Friday my very favorite way – hot vinyasa at Y2 Yoga. I’ve been attending the Friday morning class for well over a year now and Fridays just don’t seem right without it.

Today was full of delicious eats!

Breakfast when I arrived at work was a Green Monster (banana, blueberries, strawberries, chia seeds, almond milk, ice, spinach and protein powder) and a banana muffin.

I came home for lunch and made the best sandwich ever.

Peanut butter, honey and banana. I really don’t think I will ever tire of this combination. Every single bite is so delicious! Baby carrots and Food Should Taste Good Sweet Potato Tortilla Chips on the side.

I worked my afternoon away as I sipped on a Ginger Berry Kombucha while I counted down the minutes to 5 p.m. I stopped by Earth Fare on my way home to grab some supplies for a nice Friday dinner at home.

We started out our evening with cocktails and a steamed artichoke with dipping sauce. Thanks to Tracy for making me crave artichokes today!

And a late (9:30 p.m.!) dinner of crab cakes, shrimp cocktail, mixed greens and roasted potatoes. Everything turned out great!

Wrapping up my night and heading to bed. I am launching BodyPump 77 tomorrow morning bright and early! I am teaching the back track which is so amazingly awesome, different and challenging that I can’t even stand it. I’m so excited! Back with a full review of my thoughts on the new release later this weekend.

Who’s working out this weekend? Tell me what you’re doing!!!

Been a while since I have had a green monster smoothie. It’s just been too cold so I’m looking forward to some soon.

This weeks workouts were really good! Tomorrow (Sat.) hubby and I hit up an early spin class as usual and I think Sunday will be all about relaxing except for a trip to a new (to us) Farmer’s Market.

Hope you have a great weekend!

This food looks soo great. From the banana muffin with the YUMMY green monster smoothie to the PB and banana sandwich! That is my kind of food lol. My workouts this weekend include running and yoga, my favorite forms of exercise- which you can find here 🙂 http://chocolatecoatedrunner.wordpress.com/my-daily-workouts/

    Yummy eats! Especially the artichoke.

On Saturday I’m running 10 miles. Sunday is my no exercise day. Instead it will be filled with church and playing at the beach with the husband and kids.

mmm PB and banana sandwiches are one of my favorites. It’s fun to switch it up with different kinds of PB too.

Yesterday was a rest day, so today I’m hitting up the gym for a strength training and interval cardio session. Tomorrow will consist of a nice, long run! Can’t wait!

That Green Monster sounds great – gotta get the ingredients on hand. Running to the Y for a cycle class then running home (less than 3 miles round trip). Headed to a fun music/camping/rafting/biking festival after cycle but will be home tomorrow in time to get in an afternoon swim. Yesterday was my rest day. 🙂 Have a great weekend!

Every time I see that PB+banana+honey combo on your blog it reminds me that I HAVE to try it!! It sounds SO GOOD!! 😀

And OUCH!! The back track this time is SO CHALLENGING!! Actually, I think it’s all more challenging (except the bicep+chest tracks which I find slightly easier than last) and, not-so-good music aside I LOVE this release!! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts! 😀 Today is my rest day (I seriously need it after Pump! :P) and tomorrows a longer run 🙂
